New Website Suggestions, and Font Advice

  • Oct. 12th, 2008 at 10:32 AM

With the coming to an end of my account with Comnet service for internet access here in Ottawa, I am looking for a new place to put my set of webpages up.

Does anyone have any suggestions for free webspace sites that I can use for this purpose? I would have gone with Sympatico's area, but I need that for file storage and the like while I continue to recover files and all.
I am looking for a website that has a decent amount of storage space for my webpages, and is free.

Oh, and while I'm on the subject, does anyone know how to install new fonts in Ubuntu for all applications? I can't seem to find anything in the Help files, and would appreciate some ideas on this.

Much obliged, folks. :)

copy the font files (.ttf) into the .fonts directory in your home dir.

and from Nautilus that would be:

alt-f2
enter ".fonts"
a Nautilus window will open.
copy the font files there.
