Today is Remembrance Day.
I just want to say *THANK YOU* to those who serve. And I want to thank those who served and died for our country and for the cause of peace all these years.
'Nuff said.

Today has not been a good day for the most part. While I've still got the pain in my right hip and leg, that wasn't the problem...well, okay, it was part of the bad day.
I had to go to the house to supervise the folks from Steamatic packing up my library and den into boxes before stuff can start to happen. The folks from Steamatic did a very good job, cleaning and all the books and stuff that needed to be cleaned, but in the process, there were some 90 books, primarily science fiction and fantasy, but also including some historical non-fiction and several roleplaying game books, that had to be destroyed because they were contaminated by the sewage and/or methane. On top of everything else, there's nowhere in the house to store the books once work begins on the repairs, so I have to figure out where to send them for storage as well. *Le Sigh*
All of this means that the books, rpgs, and stuff that I have from the den with me at the Southway is what I've got to read and all until after the job is done and I can move back home. (Home, what's that? Miss it already!)
To make things worse, work will not begin on the repairs to the house until Monday, the 16th, as while the contracts are sorted out, now the building materials have to be arranged for and all that good stuff. I've taken the teal curtains from the bedroom and the den down, and will go to a dry cleaning place to have them properly cleaned. The stuff in the bedroom also needed to be packed, and that's just finished up.
My back is now killing me, and the right leg and hip are *very* bad.
I'm heading back to the hotel now, and will be going off-line for the rest of the day. Have a good one, all.
