Final Thoughts of Paris (as Promised)

  • Sep. 17th, 2007 at 5:35 PM

As noted in my journal entries here and here, I said I would go into
detail about Friday night in Montmartre, and the last couple of days in Paris. Just bear in mind this is somewhat long, and so is behind a series of cuts.

All in all, I had a terrific time in Paris, and working there was pretty good, too. I was somewhat overwhelmed by the cosmopolitan nature of the city, the sheer volume of people there (coming as I do from Ottawa these days), but had a pleasant enough stay in the city. I can't thank André Courtemanche, his wife, Estelle, and Alice Heredy enough for being courteous hosts and showing me some of the sights and sounds of the City of Lights. Of course, now I want to go back there again... :)

Anyway, this journal entry has been quite long, and it was written based on notes I made on the laptop when there, thank Goddess (I wouldn't have remembered half of this stuff by now if I hadn't taken some notes!) So, I don't need to write another journal here for three or four days now. Hah! :)
