It's the first of August. A new month.

Thank Goddess.

I would have to say that due to the stresses of the month, some illness, and a few other things, July 2013 was not a great month.

I seem to have come down with some sort of bug in the latter part of July, and that's still with me here at the beginning of August. Work is... work. Nothing great about it, nothing bad about it. My month of gaming as a player is over now, and I'll be sitting down in the GM chair once more starting this weekend (assuming my health holds up). I'm sort of looking forward to that, but really do cherish the GM-free life that I got to lead in July.

I won't be going to GenCon Indy this year, so am rather sad and somewhat depressed about that. (There are a few products I want to buy that will be available in Indy, but I don't have anyone going down there to pick them up for me.) Then again, I'm still pretty peeved about some stuff pertaining to an rpg company and some of the folks who work for it, so perhaps it's a good thing that I'm not going to GenCon this year. I'm hoping to be able to go to HammerCon (the link is provided, though the website right now is pretty useless) in Hamilton, Ontario in early November, but that remains to be seen.

In the meantime, for now, back to the work grind.
