Actor Barry Morse Dies

Actor Barry Morse died in England at the age of 89. Morse was best remembered by science fiction fans as Professor Victor Bergmann, the crusty yet kindly scientist who was stranded on Moonbase Alpha during the first season run of Space: 1999. However, Morse was also known to me from his work as the implacable Lieutenant Gerard, pursuing David Janssen in The Fugitive, the tv series that ran from 1963 to 1967, and I remembered seeing him as MacBeth on the CBC.

Goodbye, Victor Bergmann, you will be missed.

R.I.P. Barry Morse.
