Doris Lessing, the Nobel prize-winning author of The Golden Notebook and The Grass is Singing among others, has died at the age of 94.
I'll admit that I haven't read a lot of Lessing's work, though she wrote more than 50 novels, ranging from political to science fiction. I'm mostly familiar with the two novels mentioned above, the latter of which was written 5 years before I was born, and her science fiction (she preferred the term "space fiction") Canopus in Argos series of books and novellas.
Rest In Piece, Doris Lessing. Your literary talent will be remembered.
