accomplishedI spent yesterday doing the installation of Ubuntu on the new computer after I got home from work yesterday afternoon, and things went about as smoothly as I had expected them to.
It turned out that I had a lot less of the game material and all then I wanted on the backup flash drive that I use. (And yes, I'll be doing something different in terms of backing up and the like from now on!) It's going to be a lot more difficult than I expected to get back and recover many of the files that I had for the gaming stuff among other things, but such is life (and my stupidity).
In any event, I've got a lot of stuff to do in the home computing way over the next little while. And not looking forward to recreating a lot of gaming stuff.
For now, back to some checking stuff here and all that stuff.
