Day 7 – Most "Intellectual" RPG Owned
Again, not a tough one for me, though to be honest, it's that word "intellectual" that causes the problems, depending on how you interpret that word in this context.
The most intellectual roleplaying game that I own has got to be the Continuum: Roleplaying in the Yet RPG.
A time travel roleplaying game, Continuum has a decent scientific basis (at least it did for the time it was written, though it's probably not all that hot in terms of quantum principles and mechanics today as it's somewhat out of date), and has a very intellectual, brain twisting and headache inducing set of premises and game mechanics that go along with them. That said, from a hard science point of view, it definitely had/has its appeal for me, although I'll likely be running the TimeWatch RPG from Pelgrane Press in this regard when it comes out.
But still, what a great game Continuum: Roleplaying in the Yet is for what it is and does...or should that be "will do"? <g>
