Day 24 – Most Complicated RPG Owned
Oddly enough, this one isn't all that tough to be honest.
The two most complicated roleplaying games that I own have to be the Continuum: Roleplaying in the Yet RPG and the SkyRealms of Jorune RPG. And both of these for the same reason - the mathematical natures of the games.
Continuum: Roleplaying in the Yet RPG
SkyRealms of Jorune (2nd Edition) RPG
While SkyRealms of Jorune was created by a mathematician, thus explaining the highly complex and weirdly convoluted set of game mechanics (though the game world is absolutely brilliant on its own merits), Continuum: Roleplaying in the Yet takes a very scientific view on the concept of time travel, and as such the game mechanics are representative of this element. Most of the players I've had over the years just haven't been able to play either of the games because of the game elements, and actually considered the math formulae for skills in DragonQuest to be easy compared to this stuff. Ah, well...
