Another warm day shaping up here in the Ottawa valley, with temperatures expected in the mid- to upper 20s Celsius. Not going to be all that comfortable, but I've got ways here at the house to compensate. :)
Last night, the new era began for the Friday night gaming group. It was weird gaming around the table without Nick, Tom, and Joanne, but the remaining players soldiered on (so to speak), and had a good time of it. The group is playing Abney Park's Airship Pirates. As noted in this blog entry, the players were joined by a newbie to the group, a friend of Kathy's, and he seems to fit very well. I'll blog more about last night's game session later today.
Woke up bright and early this morning, but relaxed a bit before breakfast. Without Nick around, I went out and did some grocery shopping, primarily for veggies as I plan to make a stir fry for supper tonight, and I managed to drive the car. Needless to say, I shouldn't have; the broken toe on the right foot - my driving foot - was pretty bad afterwards, and I came home when I was done and put an ice pack on it. Still hurts like hell. In the meantime, I've just finished doing a bit of house cleaning on the lower level of the house, as well as putting on a load of laundry. No rest for the wicked or hurting, I guess.
