Friday Morning Thoughts

Friday morning.

The first weekend in October. Brisk outside, though it's supposed to warm up today somewhat. I have to say that I'm looking forward to the weekend, as the current week has been a very busy one, both work-wise and in my personal life. With several of the firings at work, the load on those of us left has been magnified, but that's all right since it keeps me busy and I don't mind that.

I've suffered a few more headaches this week from way too much time spent on the computer both at work and at home. That's why one of the plans for the weekend is to spend as little time on the computer as I can, and take some of the strain on the eyes off. I do have a few tv shows to catch up on with the PVR, and there's always the DVD collection that's waiting to be watched, but I'll see how I feel about that and whether I want to try and watch a few episodes or whatever here and there.

Gaming this weekend will consist of two sessions of the Abney Park's Airship Pirates RPG, the Friday one tonight and the session on Sunday afternoon. I am looking forward to both of those, as the two groups are in completely different places with the two campaigns. The Friday campaign tonight will start from where the gaming group left off a couple of years ago, with some new faces (and gamers). The Sunday group game will start from scratch this time out. I'm looking forward to both games.

Other than that, I need to do a little bit of cleaning up around the house (notably down on the basement level), and to do a bit of grocery shopping as well. I also need to do some paper notes on some gaming stuff, as well as just relax a bit and not get too tense this weekend.
