This being the Thanksgiving weekend and all here in Canada, the office is pretty deserted this morning as some of the folks take the extra day off. I figured I'd come in and get some work done, and there's enough of us here that the work progress today on the current translation project will be good today. The new boss is supposed to start work next week, so we'll see how that goes, but for today, the work machine is pretty smooth.
In hockey news, the Ottawa Senators started off their brand new NHL hockey season losing to the Nashville Predators 3-2. They were plagued by an 8+ minute frame of poor defensive hockey that cost them the three goals that Nashville scored, but there were also some positives to come out of the game.
On the gaming news front, two of my Friday night gamers won't be able to make it out for the regularly scheduled Abney Park's Airship Pirates game this evening. The other three players have decided they want to play, and that they'll "test out" the character generation process for the forthcoming River of Heaven science fiction roleplaying game that should be going out to the Kickstarter backers any time now. So, for the evening, I'll be doing character generation using the PDF of the game and my handy-dandy laptop. Looking forward to this.
Meanwhile, back to work.
