Yesterday was one of the days that felt really long, even for a weekend day. Saturday started off well enough, though I had a terrible headache for most of the day, and decided that I would take the day off the computer and internet for as much as possible. Which proved to work out well, as I felt much better by the evening. Went out for lunch and did some shopping for a couple of things - some small croissants for Sunday breakfast, a 2015 calendar, some stationery stuff - before getting back to the house. Rested up for a couple of hours after that, since the evening was full of plans. Kathy, Ellie, and I went to the NHL game between Ottawa Senators and the Columbus Blue Jackets. Kathy had asked me whether I wanted to go to the game on Friday night, and I told her that I would; she said then that she'd picked up the three tickets in advance, as she wanted to take Ellie to one or two games this year, and this seemed like a decent game to go to. The Sens won the game by a score of 3-2 courtesy of a beautiful goal over the glove into the top of the net by Mike Hoffman in the third period. So everyone went home happy. After I got home around 10:45 pm, I relaxed with a cup of hot tea and sat back and watched the PVRed episode of Doctor Who , "Flatline". Lovely episode, I thought, one of the best, but there were some issues I had with it that I'm not going into here. I got to bed around 11:45 pm, and read a bit before going to sleep. Unfortunately, I didn't sleep all that well, tossing and turning for most of the night, having nightmares (that I can't remember, except for one, which I'm not going to go into detail about here). Woke up later than I had planned, but enjoyed the croissants that I bought for this morning's breakfast, and have just finished a lazy cup of coffee this morning.
