Only working about 4.5 hours today, so I'll be leaving for home and then eating lunch at my place. Looking forward to that, and getting a nap (or two) in, as I had a somewhat restless night of it.
The doctor appointment yesterday afternoon was relatively uneventful. He was pleased to hear I'm now taking insulin, and he did a basic check-up of some of my functions (heart, blood pressure, and an examination of my abdominal region). I'm also pleased to report that I've lost 3 lbs. and that I don't have a fungal infection on one of my toes. :) He spent some time talking with me about the insulin therapy, gave me some guidelines about things to be careful about, and generally was quite genial and all; the doctor spent over 35 minutes with me this time around.
After the appointment, I went over to Tim Horton's and had a bowl of potato and bacon soup for lunch, and then when I got home, I had some carrots and a bit of cheese to wrap up lunch. I felt satisfied, but was a bit aching and then took a nap.
I woke up this morning feeling a bit tired, as I tossed and turned a bit last night, and was a bit cold. The hot shower woke me up and warmed up my bones, and breakfast didn't do badly in that regard either. :) Work this morning has been relatively quiet, but my eyes continue to bother me due to the insulin therapy. I'll be talking to the Nurse Educator about that later today, so we'll see what is said about that.
This being Friday, I'll be gaming with the Friday night group this evening. They'll be (re-)starting the a|state game campaign in earnest tonight, so I'm looking forward to that.
