Friday Night's Game of a|state

Last night, the Friday night gaming group played in their re-launched a|state RPG campaign. This was the first game session proper of the a|state game the Friday night group has played in several years, but it was decided by all concerned that we would re-start/re-launch the game from where it had stopped most recently. Despite the changes in player personnel, I was sure that the game could re-discover its focus and that it could start the player characters, both new and old, on a fresh path of adventure, discovery, and inspiration.

And I was proved right. Last night's game session of a|state was one of the better gaming sessions over the last year or so, and definitely had its moments. I won't discuss those here, you'll have to read the blog entry about the session when I post it up, but there was a lot of stuff going on, some good character roleplaying, and a few small fights that got the players' blood up.

Overall, it was a really enjoyable session of the game, and I'm looking forward to running a|state again next week, weather willing.
