A Monday Morning

A somewhat grim, gloomy day shaping up in the Ottawa valley today.

The current forecast is for 3 to 6 cms of the white stuff outside today, but at least 2 cms have already fallen on the ground as I write this, making the drive in to work with the car pool highly frustrating, dangerous, and exhausting. Add to that very cold temperatures, and a brisk wind that's blowing the snow and making things feel even colder, and... well, just not a nice day.

The weekend was relatively uneventful, nothing much going on, though on Sunday afternoon (since we weren't gaming) I managed to go see a movie with friends. Nothing exciting, just a decent rom-com that I had wanted to see, but not on my own. It was a good afternoon of diverting entertainment, so that was all right in and of itself.

Relaxed during the evening, had a good night's sleep, and woke up to the morning's weather.

Anyway, back to work. And a nice, hot cup of herbal tea.

I'm enjoying your thoughts on Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries. I've not read it yet but every time I see it pop up in lists online the cover grabs my attention.
