Friday Morning Health, Cold, and Gaming Thoughts

It is a sunny, bitter, cold day outside this morning in Ottawa. Brrr!!

I woke up this morning feeling somewhat under the weather, but am not sure what's wrong with me. The problem is that ever since I started taking insulin, I've not really had a good feel for my body and how it feels on any given day (though some days are better than others). One could argue actually that I haven't felt like myself since I started the insulin, but that's another topic altogether. The fact that the house is very cold, due to problems with the window insulation from when the new windows were installed over the summer, isn't helping my health, I suspect. And yes, I'll be getting the window folks to come in when Spring arrives and do a proper insulation job on the windows, you can be sure.

Work this morning is somewhat busy, though not to the extent that it has been earlier in the week. Regardless of that, I'll be glad when the weekend is here after I get off the job this afternoon. I need some down time to myself, to be honest, and just want to read a little bit, headache and the like permitting, over the weekend.

Gaming with the Friday night group today is in doubt at the moment. Kathy informed me on Wednesday that she and Ellie are waiting on "rushed" blood tests results, as she may have caught something nasty at school. So, if she's down with the really nasty bug, we likely won't be gaming. So it's a wait-and-see game for the day, until I get a call from Kathy one way or the other, likely before 5 pm or so.

Meanwhile, back to some administrative duties.
