Monday Morning Thoughts

It's Monday morning. The start of a new work week, although a shortened one given the long, Easter weekend that's upcoming.

I woke up this morning feeling out of sorts, as I have been for the last little while. I'm still convinced that I'm suffering from the side effects of the new diabetes medication that I'm taking, working on a month now, Forxiga.

Gaming yesterday with the Sunday group was, to put it mildly, a crazy affair. I'll talk more about that in a separate post when I get home from work today, but I will comment on one thing. When doing character creation with the players for a game, I tend to lose track of time and various other things. Yesterday, I made the mistake of going around 5+ hours without any snack after lunch, and when we finished gaming for the day around 6:15 (!!), I felt... sick. Suffice to say that sugar tablets were taken, and then I waited a bit before eating supper, but I didn't start to feel better until around the time I got ready for bed. Got to keep an eye on this stuff in future, as the new diabetes drug has changed how my body handles sugar and the like.

Work this morning is relatively busy, as I expected it to be this shortened work week. So I need to get back to stuff here.

I'm digging the early fall temperatures. I know we've got a heatwave or two to go still but this is a nice start to the month.

I just can't go to a big event yet. I'd be so stressed that I wouldn't have fun.

People are determined to say that Covid is over or that we all just have to live with it and no one understands what…

hehe It's the second book in the series about Zoey, but to be honest, I found the humour in this second book a bit too much for my taste. That said, absolutely crazy stuff happens in this one (not…

Well, at GenCon they're checking peoples' vaccination status and actually administering vax doses (I guess Indiana Health or some such?) and people are wearing vax bracelets showing their condition…

Of course you do! :) Heck, *I* want one! :)

I really do want to run Vaesen - Nordic Horror Roleplaying. The Friday night group will play the game, but on Sundays, I don't know how to convince…
