This is probably due to lack of sleep last night, and what little sleep I did get was positively plagued with bad dreams. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Last night, the Friday night gaming group showed up, and we played another session of the Atlantis: The Second Age campaign that they're involved with, starting a brand new adventure, as I'm not quite ready yet to run the Chill 3rd Edition game (which they are looking forward to quite a bit). The game session went very well, and I'll blog about this later on this morning or sometime this afternoon (I hope).
I got to bed relatively early, about a quarter to midnight, and felt pretty good though I was tired from the exhausting day and the pain in my left ankle. I woke up at 2:30 am or so with terrible acid reflux, and after taking Gaviscon and getting back to sleep, woke up again around 4 am with terrible nightmares (that I don't remember, thank Goddess). I woke again around 6:15 am, and realised that I wasn't going to get any more sleep this night, so just lay in bed for a while and read the night stand book that I've not looked at in a bit. Even my blood sugars are a bit high for the start of the day, but I guess it's not surprising. And then the diarrhea (which always accompanies my acid reflux the next day) started.
Needless to say, my tummy and bowels are upset, and I feel out of sorts.
Anyway, the plan for the day is to stay close to home, not take any chances with today's eating, and just relax as much as I can and take care of a few things around the house.
