A Very Busy Day

Another warm day coming up in the Ottawa valley, though it was relatively pleasant outside (except for the humidity) when I left the house for work this morning. Where is Autumn? It's supposed to be the fall season now, but that's another matter... and as long as I can stave off winter, I'm happy.

I arrived at the office today to find that my desk is somewhat buried under with work, something that I have gotten used to during the last two weeks or so. It's going to be a busy morning of work, to be sure. The boss hasn't arrived in the office yet, so I don't know what kind of other shite will come down the pipe when he arrives, but one step at a time. Goddess knows there's enough work here for now.

I'm got a few things news-wise that I'm keep my eye on today, notably the taxi strike and situation here in Ottawa, the terrible events going on with the California forest fires, and the unfortunate happenings in Alberta with the dead father and the kidnapped (and now determined to be deceased) 2-year-old daughter, Hailey. Just terrible news. Going to be so busy this day with work stuff that I'm not sure I'm going to get a chance to keep up with stuff, other than on breaks and during lunch. That said, my thoughts are with the family and with the folks of Crowsnest Pass today.
