*****
My reading for the fifth month of the year actually exceeded my expectations, and was well above the norm for any month of May in the past. This was due to the fact that I had an enforced exile from the internet at home for over a week, and thus got to do other stuff during the time I would normally have spent on-line - i.e., reading. It was a good month of reading, with a variety of books that I rather enjoyed. My favourite books for the month were Myth-Chief by Robert Asprin and Jody Lynn Nye, River Road by Carole Goodman, and the wonderfully evocative Promised Sands RPG (the old version of the game, not the revised version coming out from Harsh Realities this summer). In addition, I rather enjoyed S.P.Q.R.: A History of Ancient Rome by Mary Beard, a magnificent non-fiction book about Roman history, culture, and society (among other things). Good books, and recommended all of them. Overall, I managed to read 10 novels, 5 RPG and RPG products, 1 magazines, 0 comics, and 0 graphic novels in May. This brings the year total in 2016 to a set of numbers that look like this: 51 books, 10 RPGs and RPG products, 10 magazines, 140 comics, and 0 graphic novels.
Anyway, thoughts and comments are always welcome. :)
