So, yesterday was my birthday. What did I do? Not much, to be honest.
I woke up yesterday morning to find that the temperature was going to be another hot one, heading for some 30oC. Just a typical hot July day. My allergies seemed to be pretty bad yesterday, but I've been finding them that way of late. I made breakfast, went through the morning ablutions, and then got ready for the afternoon of gaming with the Sunday gaming group.
While Tammy and
spross are in the middle of a Primeval RPG scenario, they both agreed that this weekend they would create characters with me for the Promised Sands RPG, v1. So I did a bit of reading about a couple of the character generation elements involved (since I thought Tammy might take a certain type of character), and then got ready to make lunch. Mom dropped by with the small Black Forest cake that she had picked up for me (I had ordered the cake earlier in the week).Once lunch was done, I got ready for gaming, and both players arrived in a timely fashion. We gamed for the afternoon, but I'll blog about that in a separate post at some point. The cake was quite good, I will say that! :)
After the gamers left for the afternoon, I relaxed a bit, cleaned up dishes and the like, and got ready for evening. Mom and I went out to dinner at Kelsey's, and we split an order of fajitas, after eating some bruschetta. Lovely meal, quite tasty, but I thought there wasn't enough chicken in the fajitas for two. After getting home, I had a cup of hot tea with a yogurt, and then relaxed for the rest of the evening, doing some reading and listening to some music.
I got to bed around midnight last night, and read for about twenty-five minutes before turning off the lights and falling asleep. Unfortunately, I woke up with a bad headache this morning, but such is life.
That said, today's a new day for me, the start of a new (personal) year. I hope it's better than last year. :)
