The start of a new month. The first real month of autumn.
To be honest, while October is associated with cool temperatures and dampness, I'm actually glad to be out of September and into the new month. Last month was a bit trying for me in several respects, and I had more stress to deal with than I would have liked, so I'm glad to get to the new month and see if I can de-stress a bit. While I know that winter is somewhere ahead (hopefully not too close ::knock on wood:: ), I'm hoping for a good October and a pleasant month.
I've got to get through the medical procedure that I'm undergoing tomorrow before I can get to a relatively doctor-free month (other than Footcare near the end of the month), other than that October just has Canadian Thanksgiving and the coming of Halloween (of course). My overall plan for the month is to get my blood sugar readings a bit lower than they are, and try not to have any foot accidents. Oh, and to stay relatively warm. :)
