National Fossil Day

Today is National Fossil Day.

National Fossil Day is a celebration organized to promote public awareness and stewardship of fossils, as well as to foster a greater appreciation of their scientific and educational value.

So check out some fossils at some point today. And even if you couldn't visit a museum or park this National Fossil Day, ancient creatures will be glad to see you whenever you can meet them at a museum or other venue of your choice.
