Doctor Appointment and Hospital Tests

Just got home from seeing the doctor (a scheduled appointment) and then going to the hospital for some x-rays.

The news is not good.

Due to the allergies and the asthma attack that I've been suffering from, I've injured my larynx because of the talking and the coughing (mostly the latter). Probably didn't help it at all by going to CanGames 2017 this past weekend. *sigh* In addition, my throat is partially swollen shut because of the allergies and possibly made worse by the asthma attack that is persisting.

In addition, there is a serious problem with my left shoulder, made worse by my having forgotten not to use my left arm when I threw a small, plastic footstool in a fit of anger last night. :(

The doctor sent me for x-rays of both the shoulder and my chest, and I also am waiting to hear on an appointment for an ultrasound of my shoulder (and it may be followed up with some other tests as well). He thinks I've got an infection in the chest now as well (bets are on con crud...anybody?). In the meantime, he prescribed for me an antibiotic and a strong anti-inflammatory. And I am not to talk for several days.

This should be fun.

And I'm just going to try and rest for the rest of the day and into the evening.
