Doctor Who Turns 45

Happy Birthday, Doctor Who!

The Doctor Who television series turns 45 years of age today, having first aired on November 23rd, 1963. I remember watching that episode of the series, being all of eight (8!!) years old at the time, and being absolutely baffled, yet still enjoying the stories of the Doctor, and his three companions - Susan (his granddaughter), Ian Chesterton, and Barbara Wright. I was as terrified as Barbara when she first encountered the Daleks, and loved the show. Still do.

So, here we are 45 years later, and the Doctor is still travelling time and space (even if there was a bit of a hiatus there).

Happy Birthday, Doctor Who!! May we see 45 more years of your adventures in time and space. :)
