Lost and Found: Astronaut Tools

While most folks are concerned with the goings on in Mumbai at the moment, I noticed this story in the paper this morning...

Astronaut's toolbag found; no reward offered

While certainly not the most important news headline at the moment, I have to say that this story came as a breath of fresh air for the past few days, which are filled with the tales and the horror of what is transpiring in Mumbai. I mean, $100,000 in tools lost during a spacewalk. Goddess bless astronaut Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper for dropping the tools out in the final frontier, and giving us a humourous respite from the events going on on our great big ball of blue. But I am sorry for Stefanyshyn-Piper. I mean, does that come out of her paycheque? :)

Although I fear for the man's social life, I think it's awesome that he could find a tool bag in the heavens!

Yep, I thought that was pretty cool myself. Still, I don't think I'll ever be able to think of items lost and found again without thinking of this story, you know.
