WPBS Watertown Wins Reprieve in Ottawa

Well, well, well...

In an ending that I don't think anyone saw coming. Rogers Communications has reversed their decision, and will be keeping WPBS Watertown on the air here in the city of Ottawa. You can read my original post about this at the link, and here's the newspaper link to the current story about the reversal decision.

PBS Watertown Wins Reprieve from Rogers

Good news or what, eh? :)

I am really pleased at this decision, and glad to hear that Rogers has decided to take the smart solution on their blunder.

More Info on the Comic Book Shoppe Game for August 15th

In personal gaming news, I am pleased to announce some good news.

I have decided that the game I will be running at The Comic Book Shoppe on Saturday, August 15th, will be none other than Hollow Earth Expedition! However, even better, is the fact that the scenario in question will be one of the scenarios that is going to be run at GenCon Indy 2009! While I'm not going to give away any more details about the scenario for the moment, suffice it to say that there are some really neat things in this adventure, and surprises galore.

The game is currently scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm at the Comic Book Shoppe located at 1400 Clyde Avenue. You can contact the store at

e-mail: shoppe1@thecomicbookshoppe.com

or

phone: (613) 228-8386

Tell 'em I sent you. :) I'm really looking forward to this game, and hope that some folks from the LJ community and those living in Ottawa who aren't going to be at GenCon will consider coming out and experiencing the game.

I also am making tentative plans to run a game of Desolation, HEX's sister game of post-apocalyptic fantasy, the week after the HEX game at the same store.
