Friday Morning Thoughts

Another warm day here in the Ottawa valley, although it's been relatively pleasant so far this morning. I managed to go outside and walk for ten minutes this a.m., but felt pretty tired when I went back into the house.

Yes, I am working from home again today, as there is an electrician coming over between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm to take care of my electrical fire alarms. This is something that definitely needs to be done, so better sooner than later.

On the gaming side of things, I'm working on dinosaur and other creature write-ups and game stats for an upcoming roleplaying game project, and am having a lot of fun doing that. The hardest part of doing this is the research aspect, of course, but I have some excellent resources at my disposal. In other gaming news, the Friday night gaming group will be playing tonight. They're going to do some playtesting of the dinosaur and creature write-ups that I mentioned above, so I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully it won't tax my voice too much.

Getting Ready to Rumble

Had an interesting day today, and looks like it's going to be a good night as well.

Work was all right today, working from home being pleasant. The job I'm on is one of a bit of concentration, so I had a bit of a headache when I was done for the day. The electrician came over to install the two fire alarms here at the house, and wanted $190 to do the installation, plus the $30 cost of the alarms themselves. I balked at that, and will try to make some alternate arrangements of sorts. That price was...ridiculous! (In my opinion, anyway.)

After work, did some more writing on the gaming project that I'm working on. Took a couple of Tylenol, and the headache went away quite nicely.

The pasta is cooking on the stove, as I'm making spaghetti and meat sauce for supper tonight, with a little bit of salad. Got the Friday night gaming group coming over for some playtesting in a bit less than an hour or so.

It's going to be a Primeval kind of night. I hope they're ready to rumble! :)
