Health and Geology Class

I managed to attend my Geology class last night, and had a pretty good evening with the course. While I was still suffering some abdominal pain, my bowels decided to be well-behaved for the evening, so that was good.

By the time I got home last night I was feeling exhausted, somewhat disoriented, and to be honest, felt like crap. My lower back on the left side was hurting me quite severely, and my whole abdomen was tender, but I only had minimal pain there. I managed to crawl into bed, and had a relatively dreamless night (at least it feels that way).

This morning, there is snow coming down outside, and my car is buried in the stuff, but I didn't go in to the office, as I'm working from home for as long as this continues and as long as I can. I've got back pain, abdominal pain, and it's not been a pleasant experience in the bathroom this morning.

I've got Geology class again this evening, and while I really want to go, I just don't know if I'm going to be able to manage it. We'll have to wait and see.

The Anatomy of Dinosaur Sex

In his latest blog on the Smithsonian blog, Brian Switek brings to a conclusion his little series on the science of dinosaur sex. You can read the previous entry at the link.

And so, wrapping up the series, comes this gem of a fourth part.

The Anatomy of Dinosaur Sex

For me, this one is the piece that brings the four-part series of articles full circle in some ways, and talks about one of the more intriguing aspects of the whole issue of dinosaur sex.
