Thursday Morning Ramblings

Woke up this morning to extremely chilly weather (50C) and pain in my neck and throat.

This is becoming a regular thing. Not happy about it, and wonder what it means in terms of the neck and throat issues.

Sitting here at the office this somewhat bright a.m., and debating about the rest of the week and what I plan to do. There's some stuff I'd like to do writing-wise, as I've been writing a bit of fiction again of late. I'm not making much progress reading Destroyer of Worlds by Larry Niven and Edward M. Lerner, as I've been distracted by various gaming products. I'm currently translating a French adventure for the Shadows of Esteren game system, and am finishing up looking for the errata in the Primeval RPG (though I don't know if that's going to appear anywhere, but I like to think it will when it's finished).

This afternoon, I have an appointment at the Footcare Clinic to have my feet tidied up and have my toe nails clipped. May have problems with the toe that is (still) infected, but we'll see what happens with that.

Back to work, and a nice hot cup of peppermint tea.

International Book Day Meme

For those who don't know, it's International Book Week. And, of course, there's a game associated with the week and the love of books and all that.

The rules are simple: Grab the book that is closest to you, turn to page 52, and post the fifth sentence in this entry. Don't mention the title of the book. And remember to post these rules so that the process gets passed along.

So, here's my sentence...

Then, others take over so that the previous ones can spend time among their people.

Pass it on! :)

Footcare Appointment

Back from my foot care appointment at the FootCare Clinic this afternoon.

My feet are pretty sore from the "treatment" of the afternoon, but to be honest, I feel all right foot-wise. The footcare lady did a pretty basic job on my tootsies, and my feet weren't as bad off as I thought they were or expected them to be. That said, she still maintains that I do not have an infection on the big toe on my left foot.

Time to deal with some personal stuff for the afternoon. And I'm expecting to see spross here at the house sometime later this afternoon.

Finished Checking Primeval RPG Errata

I have finally finished going over the Primeval RPG game rulebook and have made notes on all the errata that can be found in there.

I've sent this material off to mytholder, the writer of the book, and hopefully these errata will be appearing somewhere on the Cubicle 7 website in the near future.

I think this is the ninth time that I have read the Primeval RPG core rulebook, in one form or another, so it's time to put the rulebook away for a while and not look at it. Know what I mean? :)
