October 1st Thoughts

October 1st. A brand new month.

To be honest, even though October is usually associated with cool temperatures and dampness, and the signs of winter ahead, I'm actually glad to be out of September and into the new month.

I spent nine days out of the month either in hospital or at a doctor's office or both. I've had more x-rays, ultrasounds, and blood tests than I care to remember. And I've had more bad news about friends, families, or relatives than I care to remember for a long time.

So, new month. New challenges ahead.

Thank Goddess September is over.

Bad News

I knew it was too good to last.

I had to take the day off from work today, as I needed to help my mother get to and from her appointment today for a colonoscopy.

Aside from a two-hour delay from when the procedure was supposed to be done, the colonoscopy went well.

The results of the colonoscopy were extremely bad, as bad as it gets. She needs surgery. And that's all I'm going to say here in my blog.

End of a Bad Day

It has been an exhausting day, and I've got no energy left in the tank after the health news from my mom.

I had some order-in Chinese food tonight, but that hasn't helped my mood any.

So I'm off to an early night in bed, and then hope to bury myself in work all day tomorrow. Just not a great time in life right now.

'Night, all.
