Sunday Morning Post

Yesterday was another long and exhausting afternoon doing the grocery shopping for both myself and my mother, with spross's assistance.

Needless to say, by the time I got home with my stuff around 6:25 pm, my back was hurting something fierce, and I hadn't had any food since lunch at 12:00 (not smart for a diabetic). I was plain exhausted. I finished unpacking and putting groceries where they had to go by around 7:15, and then it was time to make some supper. By the time I finished eating supper and cleaning the dishes, it was close to 8:45, and I was too tired to do much of anything else. Needless to say, I didn't do any work on the gaming stuff that needed to be made ready for today, nor did I accomplish much else. I crawled into bed around 10:45 pm, and read for about an hour - and then didn't fall asleep until close to 1:00 am.

In the meantime, I woke up to find that it's raining outside about 60C (ridiculous weather for January). I had some croissant and café au lait with some celery for breakfast, and have been napping since then. Just finished doing a bit of stuff for the afternoon game of Primeval RPG with the Sunday gaming group (if two players can be described as a "gaming group"). Looking forward to playing, but wish I had more players.

Anyway, time to shower.

Sunday Afternoon Game Session

spross has just left my house, after dropping me off here. We finished gaming this afternoon, and then he took me over to Farm Boy to grab a cucumber and some green beans to have with supper. (Yes, I forgot them when we went shopping yesterday.)

The afternoon gaming session of the Sunday group (if two can be called a "group") went...well. Not great, but well. spross and Tammy wrapped up their fourth Primeval RPG scenario, and I'm actually glad that it's over. The scenario was one or two sessions longer than it should have been, as all of the sub-plot that I set up with Douglas (who has left the group) went to waste, and a couple of other sequences went way too long. The scenario ended on a relatively positive note, spoiled only by a couple of things during the handing out Experience Points bit at the very end. I was able to put a final stamp on James "Jimmy" Black, Douglas's character, as he died during the final, climactic fight scene with the creatures near the end of the adventure. Once again, I'll be blogging about the game session as soon as I manage to do some catching up on transcribing of notes and that sort of thing.

In the meantime, off to make some supper.
