Lest Hartnell Be Forgot

For those who are fans of the Doctor Who tv series, and those who were fans of the actor...

William Hartnell, the first actor to play the Doctor on the Doctor Who series, was born on this day in 1908.

For me, Hartnell will always be the definitive version of the Doctor in the series, as I grew up with him as a kid back in the early and mid-1960's. When I got older, I finally caught some of Hartnell's performances in other things he had done over the years, and came to truly appreciate his acting abilities.

William Hartnell was a superb actor, and he will never be forgotten by folks who loved and admired his acting abilities, and who came to know him as the *First* Doctor on the tv series that we have all come to know and love.

Game Registration for CanGames 2014

And so the gaming season is starting up again.

This morning, I received my notification from CanGames 2014 that they are looking for GameMasters, and the link to the form for submitting games for the convention.

I've got a good idea of what I'm going to run this year, though I'm going to have to start writing the stuff right now, as a personal dilemma and problem arose that I'm still sorting through (it doesn't help that I'm still suffering the effects of the concussion somewhat), and will submit at least one event up today for the Yggdrasill RPG. I'll also be running a fantasy game, but not a typical one, and am still considering running the Primeval, but am not sure about this one. Thoughts and comments on this here would be welcome.

CanGames 2014 will be taking place at the Rideau Curling Club over the Victoria Day weekend, May 16th - 18th, 2014, here in Ottawa. Since I won't be going to GenCon Indy or any other gaming conventions this year, I'm definitely looking forward to CanGames this year.
