Life on a Thursday Morning

Woke up this morning still feeling rough.

Headaches. Slight nausea. Swollen neck area on the left side. Same old stuff.

On top of everything else, I have another problem. I went out yesterday to get the snail mail, and since it was somewhat warm outside (compared to the winter deep freeze that we've had of late), I figured I would try and clean off and de-ice the car. While working on it, I think I did too much and may have lost consciousness for a moment or two. I hit my left shoulder on the car door, but didn't think anything of it. Last night and this morning, I've got some numbness in the left shoulder and my left hand hurts like heck. Makes typing less fun than it is at the moment.

I'm working somewhat from home this morning. I say "somewhat", as I can't spend too much time on the computer in any one chunk as the headaches get worse and intensify. Still part of the concussion symptoms, though I feel somewhat better than I have. I think. Except for the left shoulder and arm, of course.

In the meantime, just feeling sorry for myself.

Finished Event Submission for CanGames 2014

As noted in this journal entry, I received my CanGames 2014 notice for submitting any rpg events that I want to run this year at the convention, scheduled for May.

Well, I've just sent the last of the GM forms with the games I want to run this year at CanGames with the game descriptions and times I would like to run my events at the convention, so now it's just a matter of getting the gaming material ready for the convention. I haven't heard back about any of the forms I've submitted yet, so I hope the folks at CanGames have received them. When I hear back on the games and the times I've set up, I'll definitely blog about them.

For those who want to know, I'm planning to run one session of the Yggdrasill RPG set in the historical fantasy world of the 5th Century Norsemen, and two sessions of the Atlantis: The Second Age RPG set in the sword & sorcery Antediluvian world. (Yes, that means I won't be running any Primeval RPG sessions at the convention this year.)

I'm not sure whether I'm being crazy running Atlantis: The Second Age at the convention given that first, the game is still not out in paper form (it's due out soon I hope), and second, a (former) friend of mine was supposedly doing some work on a scenario for the game that I was hoping to use, but that has fallen through. This means that I'll have to write two, not one, scenarios for the game, and... well, let's just say that I'll be a busy boy for the next few months.

So I hope I'll see some of you at the convention this year, and playing in the games I'm GMing there.
