Friday Morning Thoughts

Friday morning. Another end to the week, and a start of the weekend.

Woke up this morning somewhat bleary-eyed, but otherwise feeling pretty decent. My head still hurts from time to time, but such is life post-concussion.

It's somewhat warm outside, only about -4oC, and the snow is coming down. The accumulation is supposed to be about 3-5 cms over the course of the day, so that's all right. Not too much, just a good dusting everywhere. :)

I'm working from home at the moment, and am having a relatively easy Friday of it. Not a lot on the work plate so far.

Friday Night Game Report - Yggdrasill RPG Session 10

Have a little bit of time on my hands at the moment, so I figured I'd post up another game journal report from the Friday night group play. This one is the most recent game session, played last Friday.

Here is the tenth session report on the Friday night Yggdrasill game campaign. This session was played on Friday, January 10th, 2014, and is the most recent game session of the Friday group. You can read about the previous session of the campaign in this journal entry. This post is somewhat long, so I've put it behind a cut so that folks who don't want to read any detailed rpg posts don't have to.

This was the first gaming session I've had in the new year, due to weather and physical problems, but I felt good enough yesterday to decide to run a game last night, and continued on with the Yggdrasill campaign.

Despite the weather conditions forecast, the various players were all here at my place for around 7:15 pm, so after recapping what had come before, we got down and into the game. This game session saw several combat situations, some very tough decision making, and some good roleplaying on the part of all the players. When the game session was over, the players felt like they had made the only decision that they could at the end, and they rather liked the ominous portent that I wrapped the game session on.

This session wrapped up the third scenario that the group has played of the game, and all of the players were rather pleased at how things are going. Most of the players stated that they're still quite enjoying the mechanical aspects of this game, and are having a good time with the Norse culture elements, finding this to be one of the serious strengths of the game.

A good way to start off the gaming year for 2014, and I'm looking forward to starting another Yggdrasill adventure with the Friday night group.

Work Is Done, Gaming Is Ahead

Work is finished for the day. Thank goodness. It's been a long day, and I've been staring at the computer screen for way too long today.

I plan to take a nap for as long as I manage to sleep, and then I'll need to devote some time to doing a bit of work on the Atlantis: The Second Age RPG scenario that I'm currently writing for this year's CanGames convention.

I spoke to Kathy, the Friday night group's spokesperson, and she told me that the Friday nighters are eager and raring to go with tonight's Yggdrasill game session, so I'm looking forward to that.

In the meantime, nap time.

Supper, Then Friday Night Gaming

Just getting ready to head upstairs and make some supper before gaming tonight.

I'm going to have some homemade schnitzel, with a salad, some green beans, and a bit of barley and mushrooms. Will finish that off with a bit of yogurt and some fresh fruit.

I'm looking forward to an evening of gaming with the Friday night gang. We'll be playing the Yggdrasill rpg this evening, and I'm looking forward to starting a brand new adventure this evening.

Have a good night, folks.
