Happy Family Day

Happy Family Day!

Well, at least if you live in Alberta, Ontario, Saskatchewan (and on a different date in British Columbia). :)

I don't really have anything planned this year for Family Day. Last year, I went over to the Museum of Nature on this holiday Monday and had a great time, and then somehow came down with a bug that put me on the ropes for close to three months.

In the meantime, folks, I hope that everyone has a good Monday. :)

Sunday Afternoon Game Report - Yggdrasill RPG Session 9

Here's the ninth, and most recent game session report on the Sunday afternoon Yggdrasill game campaign. You can read about the previous session of the campaign in this journal entry. This post is somewhat long, so I've put it behind a cut so that folks who don't want to read any detailed rpg posts don't have to.

As noted in yesterday's blog entry about the game, this session of the Yggdrasill is the start of the same scenaario for the game that I'm running on the Friday night group, but with only the two players, it has a different feel and style to it.

The game session went as well as I expected it to go, and while I think the two players had a good time (with spross, one never knows), the problems with the way SteveR struggles with his character(s) in gaming continues. (Not going to go into that again, as it's like flogging a dead horse.) When all was said and done, Tammy played to her characters strengths and weaknesses, and she knows that Dagmar Ivarsdottir has some challenging times ahead. spross's character, Adalstein Ulfarsson, has this last chance to prove himself to the community, so we'll see how that shapes up.

I won't be running Yggdrasill next Sunday, as the players will be playtesting some material for the Atlantis: The Second Age RPG, but I'm looking forward to continuing this scenario the week after.
