Last Friday of February

Friday morning. Last one of the month of February.

Woke up to a bitterly cold day. Not one of my favourite mornings, as my bones were just aching somewhat with the cold.

Spent a pleasant evening with my goddaughter, Ellie, who stayed over with me yesterday afternoon and evening while her mom got a bit of a break. I made us a nice healthy supper of some spelt and a chicken stir fry, and then we spent the evening catching up a bit and watching some Babylon 5, specifically the two-hour movie "The Gathering" and the first episode of the series, "Midnight on the Firing Line". Lovely stuff.

Once I got Ellie to bed relatively early, I cleaned up the dishes, and then spent the evening sleeping on the couch upstairs. Nearly froze my bones off, as I forgot to add the extra blanket on me. Woke up too early, and I generally ached everywhere (no doubt from sleeping on the couch), and prepped stuff for breakfast. After eating and showering, I dropped Ellie off at her mom's and then made the trek back to the city and am sitting here at the office.

Already feels like a long day, and it's only after 8:00 a.m. this morning! *sigh*

This being Friday, I'll be gaming with the Friday night group today, so I'll be seeing Ellie once more later in the day, unless she decides she doesn't want to game tonight. While I'd like to be running the Atlantis: The Second Age RPG, I still don't have a physical copy of the book, so will be continuing with the Yggdrasill RPG campaign. Since I adore that game, this is not a problem. :)

Friday Afternoon Thoughts

Home from work after a very long day at the office. Or perhaps I'm still feeling the effects of sleeping on the sofa upstairs last night.

Took care of a few things when I got home, had a bit of a snack, and then went and took a 4-minute nap. Feel somewhat refreshed, and that did me good.

Since I'll be running the Friday night group through their paces in some more Yggdrasill goodness this evening, I'm going to spend the next hour devoting some time to reading some stuff for the game and prepping a few things for tonight.

After that, supper will beckon, I suspect.
