RPGaDAY in August - August 15th: Favourite Convention Game

We continue on with RPGaDAY in August. (Check out the link to find out what it's all about.)

Day 15 – Favourite Convention Game

Believe it or not, this one isn't all that tough to answer.

My favourite convention game was not one that I played in but one that I ran - the second game session of the Primeval RPG that I ran at CanGames 2011, on the 21st of May of that year. The adventure was one of the first that I created for the game, "Peril Beneath the Streets", and was just marvellous.

Rather than detail all of my favourite highlights and moments in the adventure, I'll just refer you to my blog entry for that day at CanGames 2011. You'll need to scroll down about halfway through the entry for the section on that adventure running.

That was my favourite convention game experience, and one of the best game runnings at a convention that I've ever had.

10 Things to Watch in the Premier League

The start of English Premier League football (that's soccer to you North American readers) is nigh upon us, as the new footy season begins tomorrow.

Richard Starnes, in the Ottawa Citizen, has posted up an interesting piece on the start of action tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to the EPL season, and really hope the Arsenal Gunners do well. And a heck of a lot better than what went down last season. Go, Gunners!

No Gaming on This Friday Night

Normally, tonight I would be gaming with my Friday night group and continuing on in the current campaign of the Atlantis: The Second Age RPG.

However, I've had an invasive test procedure and a CT scan of my upper torso and ear areas today, and am quite exhausted, nauseous, and somewhat hurting. So I have informed my players that we will not be playing Atlantis this evening.

I'm just going to take things easy tonight, try and get some sleep, and hope to the Goddess that I feel better tomorrow.
