Book Reads in November, 2014

It's the new month of December. Well, relatively speaking since it's already the 3rd of the month. And so, as is my standard usage of my blog space at the beginning of each month, I present the listing of my November, 2014 reading.

The month of November was a pretty dismal reading month for me, as I didn't really read all that much during the month. Most of the reading I did do was at the beginning of the month, up through about the 15th, as I started insulin therapy on the 13th, and that has wreaked havoc with my eyes. Much of my reading this past month has been re-reads it seems, though I've been re-reading the a|state roleplaying magazines, rules, and PDFs again as I've started to run the game again, so that has taken up some of the reading time for the month. My two favourite reads of the month were definitely Polaris by Jack McDevitt and Bertram of Butter Cross by Jeffrey E. Barlough, both books quite different from one another and totally enjoyable.

Overall, I managed to read 5 novels, 2 RPGs and RPG products, 1 magazines, 0 comics, and 6 graphic novel in November. That brings the total for the year so far in 2014 to a set of numbers that look like this: 76 books, 30 RPGs and RPG products, 23 magazines, 10 comics, and 10 graphic novels.

Anyway, thoughts and comments are always welcome. :)

Wednesday Night Game Session Cancelled

I was supposed to game with the Wednesday night gaming group this evening.

Needless to say, due to the events of Saturday night (see this blog entry), I will not be doing so. David is at home, in bed but up and about as far as I know, resting, and coming to grips with his changed diabetic status and the new meds he's taking. I've spoken to him a couple of times, and given him the support that I could, and he seems to be taking things well at the moment. Donna is somewhat stressed about things still (though she is coming in to work).

In any event, this means that tonight's gaming session of the a|state RPG tonight is cancelled. Shame, really, as I was looking forward to getting into the campaign with the Wednesday night players, but Real Life(tm) and health needs must come first.
