Monday Morning Musings

It's Monday morning. The start of another work week, as we heading into the middle of the month and the oncoming Christmas rush.

I managed to get through the weekend relatively intact, having had a bit of a nasty fall of Saturday night where I thought I might have twisted an ankle. Which I have, but not severely. Ice packs on it most of Saturday evening did the trick, and I was good after that.

Sunday gaming was pretty much what I expected it to be. More on that in a separate post.

I continue to take my Lantus insulin, upping the dose by a unit every couple of days, as per the instructions of the doctor and the diabetes nurse educator. The whole process is getting easier, though I don't have the knack down yet for the injections themselves, sometimes hurting myself with the shot, sometimes not. Practice makes perfect, I guess. Meanwhile, my blood glucose numbers are way down, I feel somewhat better, but am still having some trouble with my eyes. Not a lot of reading as a result. :(

Anyway, a lot of paperwork on my desk this Monday morning, so time to get to some more of it. That, and a nice cuppa herbal tea.

Sunday's Game Session of a|state

As mentioned in an earlier blog today, I gamed with the Sunday afternoon group yesterday.

The players were just starting their a|state, so to be honest, I wasn't expecting much from Tammy and spross for the afternoon, but I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't really have a good idea for how to get their player characters together during the session, though I had a basic plot in mind that would tie things together. As it turned out, the two players' characters didn't get together in this session, but that was all right.

The game session got off on the right foot once we started play, and I had a lovely time with the Sunday afternoon gaming group. I'll be blogging up the session properly at some point, soon as I get a chance to transcribe my notes and then pop 'em up here on the blog, but suffice it to say a good time was had by all. I hope.
