Morning Musings

I woke up this morning feeling some refreshed and rested. This is due to the fact that I got to bed relatively early last night, around 10:45 pm (right after taking my insulin injection), and sleeping for a good 7-1/2 hours.

The weather this morning was somewhat bright, and relatively warm (around -10oC), so I went for a short walk after eating breakfast, and felt really energised.

I've managed to do some laundry this morning, did a bit of vacuuming downstairs, and have a few other projects that I want to get to as well. In addition, I've been getting my head into a book that's been on my shelf for a bit that I've been meaning to read, The Starflight Handbook by Eugene Mallove and Gregory Matloff, and am rather enjoying the science of it.

Habitable Exoplanets

One of the more interesting websites that I try to check out every so often is the Habitable Exoplanet Catalogue.

It's one of those sites that, to be perfectly honest, I would never have imagined seeing when I was young, despite reading about alien worlds and the like in science fiction literature (and later roleplaying games), but it's always an uplifting site and fills me with optimism every time I see new additions.

CanGames 2015 Pre-Registration Begins, and What I'll Be Running There

Since pre-registration has opened for CanGames 2015, to be held at the Rideau Curling Club here in Ottawa the Victoria Day weekend, May 15th-17th, I thought I'd post this again.

I'll be running three games at the convention this year, so if you're planning to attend CanGames this year, and would like to play in one of my games, please do register and sign up.

While there are five (5) player spots open for each of the two River of Heaven games and the Primeval game, there will actually be a sixth spot for each of the games. So like I said, if you're interested in playing in one of the games I'm running at CanGames 2015 this year, please sign up early.

Hope to see folks at the convention! :)
