'Tis the 1st of June
June 1st. The start of a new month.
And I am so happy to see the end of May.
While last month was pretty good during the early part of it, the second half of May was pretty rough. With the exception of CanGames, I've spent the last part of the month dealing with severe foot pain (caused by the diabetes, the ill-fitting orthotics that I had, some footcare, and a couple of other things). To add to the misery, the tv receiver/box that I use to access Bell Fibe television died yesterday, and so I am waiting until Tuesday or Wednesday for a service call to fix the television stuff. So no tv for the start of the week. Guess I'll watch some DVD stuff when the mood strikes over the next few days. The last week of May was a very difficult week.
On the down side with June, this is the day that truly heralds the coming of summer for me, and the hot weather that I really dislike. That and the allergy season is in full swing now (though it's been a rough year on allergies all around, or so I've heard). The end of June will be capped off with a colonoscopy, so I can't say I'm looking forward to the end of the month, to be sure.
Anyway, June is off to a relatively good start, and I am going to be gaming this weekend, and that is always a good thing.
In the meantime, "One day at a time in June" is my motto.
