apatheticWoke up this morning to find that it had dumped a good deal of snow on the ground last night, and that even more is expected before lunchtime. Was able to get a lift to work from Donna, but I've got an appointment with my family doctor about my diabetes and the latest blood tests and all for 1:15 pm.
Couple this with the arrival of U.S. President Barack Obama in Ottawa today and the security precautions and arrangements that are being taken for this, and getting from work to the doctor's office could be...not fun. Looks like I'm going to have to take a taxi to get there. Ah, well...
To be honest, I know it's his first official foreign visit, but I'm sorry folks, I can't get excited about the whole Obama coming to Ottawa thing. It's great that it's his first foreign visit and all, but life goes on and all that.
Anyway, back to work.
