The Start of February

It's Monday morning. The first of February. A new month. And the start of a new week.

The weather outside is relatively clear, partially sunny, and somewhat cold (the wind chill making it a bit colder, of course). I can't say I'm unhappy to see the back side of January, as to be honest, last month was pretty bad health-wise and to some extent weather-wise (though it's been a milder winter than most folks expected ::knock on wood:: ). The COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage across the world and hit Canada hard, this despite the vaccines that are out there and being administered. Though the drug companies appear to be playing games with Canadian shipments, a problem that also stems from the fact that Canada does not have any companies in its own borders that can make vaccines, making us dependent on other nations and the companies that have manufacturing facilities there. Something that Canada is sure to remedy in the coming months/years.

I'm just hoping that this month is better than last month, especially health-wise. The early part of January was pretty decent, but the rest of the month wasn't all that great for multiple reasons that I won't go into here.

I don't have much to say today as I'm in quite a bit of pain and have a few things I want to get done before the evening. That, and nap a bit this afternoon.
