RPGaDay2022 in August - August 6th: How
We continue on today with #RPGaDay2022 for August.

Day 6 - How would you get more people playing RPGs?
That's a tough question...
I guess in many ways playing rpgs on-line and streaming games is one of the best things to have happened to the roleplaying game industry, as it has certainly opened up the gaming table to more folks than ever before. One good thing to come out of the pandemic, I guess, though I'm not one to game on-line for various reasons. I suppose that libraries and schools now have access to game streaming, as well as how a lot of us old-timers learned about gaming by seeing gaming groups and getting introduced to the hobby in schools and universities. And I guess that venues like coffee shoppes and the like, now that they're open again for the most part, is another place for gamers to get their start in the hobby.
That said, I think one of the best ways to get new people and more people into playing RPGs is to be willing to run games for newcomers to the hobby. This is usually done at conventions that have roleplaying games on their schedules (as well as gaming conventions), but one can run a roleplaying game for newcomers to the hobby in any venue where both the newcomers and the person running the game are comfortable doing so (and I guess are permitted to do so).
'Nuff said.
And there you have it, my thoughts on this sixth day of #RPGaDay for August, 2022.
Comments, thoughts, questions, etc. are all welcome, of course. :)
