RPGaDay2022 in August - August 12th: Why2
We continue on today with #RPGaDay2022 for August.
Day 12 - Why did you start RPGing?
I started rpging back in 1974/1975 because I was a university student at the time who was quite introverted. I stumbled on the group that was playing 1st edition D&D, and discovered that it was a lovely way to socialise a bit as well as a good channel for my creativity. I was studying for a degree that didn't give me a lot of opportunity to exercise my imagination and all, and when I finally started running games for others, I got to exercise my creativity in a unique way. That, and I adored the fantasy fiction that I'd read to that point, and thought this was cool. :) It also brought me out of my shell, so to speak.
And there you have it, my thoughts on this twelfth day of #RPGaDay for August, 2022.
