Primeval Books and Novels

I've been doing some research on the Primeval tv series, and have learned there are some novels based on the series. I was wondering if any of the folks who are my LJfriends with any knowledge of the subject can tell me some more about the books, and if they've read them, whether they are worth the purchase price.
