Clockwork Sinuses

Well, here we are, the week between Christmas and New Year's. I trust that everyone is well and that Christmas was good for everybody. I had a good Christmas, which I don't celebrate technically, and did the family thing and went to Stef's folks' place for Christmas dinner. Very nice.

I woke up this morning with that wonderful pain in my sinuses, on the right side, and realised that I think I've come down with a sinus infection. My sinuses are like clockwork. Ever year around this time, I get a damn sinus infection. While I had my flu shot this year, same as I've had it for the last few years, I tend to come down with this winter sinus infection around Christmas time, and it never fails. The doctor says it's due to my deviated septum, but this year, well... The weather's been rather weird, being warmer than usual, with some cold days and some rainy days where the cold just leeches the energy and warmth from your bones.

In any event, my head hurts, my sinuses are killing me, and I can feel the stuff at the back of my throat, dripping down my throat. Oh, and my ears hurt.

I feel sick and worn out, and am going to take some Tylenol, and then have some hot tea. Then I'm going to lie down for a while, and try and nap a bit.

Bah, humbug.
