hotI called work this morning and told my boss that I had to take the day off work today. He wasn't too bothered by this as I've put in a really solid week of work, and am well ahead of stuff. I'd rather be at work with the hot weather, as the air conditioning there is good, but here I am at home. As mentioned in a previous post, the clothes dryer at home is bust. The repairman is supposed to come to the house today "between 9 am and 5 pm" to make the necessary repairs, so this necessitates that I am home for the day. The repairs to the dryer will probably take no more than about an hour at most, and even then, it's likely to cost an arm and a leg. The weird thing is that even doing the laundry at my mother's place, I've got about three loads of laundry still to do, and at some point, I have to pick up some dry cleaning that had to be done as well.
As for the rest of the day, well, I'm looking forward to this evening, as Nick will continue the Desolation scenario that he started last Friday night. It's kind of nice for me to get to play the game, and I'm rather looking forward to this. Depending when we finish the session tonight, perhaps the Friday night gaming group will watch a film noir or some such. We'll have to wait and see.
